Cookies and storage choices
This cookie statement explains the storage used by a small digital studio for short website projects, the advertising traffic sent to vexbun.com, and the controls available before optional storage is allowed.

Vexbun uses necessary browser storage for the site's preferences and for a support conversation that a visitor starts. Optional analytics and advertising storage is denied by default. The page remains usable when that choice is declined.
Paid traffic is live today. Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send visitors to this site. A landing URL may carry a click identifier before consent is decided. That parameter is not permission to save optional storage.
Default setting: optional storage is denied until you choose otherwise. Your current decision appears beside the storage controls below. Use the controls in this document, the banner, or the persistent Cookie settings control in the footer to change the choice.

Effective date and scope
This notice took effect on October 10, 2026. It covers the browser storage, consent controls and advertising identifiers used on vexbun.com. It is written for visitors in the United States and for visitors who reach the site from Europe. It sits beside, rather than replaces, the Privacy statement, which explains the wider handling of inquiry, technical and support data.
The document version is published with the consent version. If the storage arrangement changes, the deployed notice and its version are changed together. The date above is the current policy date, not a claim about when Vexbun began operating.
Three storage categories
Storage has a job. It is not all treated as advertising. Strictly necessary storage keeps a visitor's requested function available. Analytics storage helps measure site use only after the visitor allows it. Advertising storage supports consented advertising measurement and related platform signals only after the visitor allows it.
Strictly necessary
This includes the local consent record and a token kept when a visitor starts a support chat. The consent record lets the site remember the decision rather than showing the same choice on every visit. The chat token lets the browser return to the conversation. These functions are connected to an action the visitor requests.
Analytics
Analytics storage is optional. It is not granted as a condition of sending an inquiry, opening a page, or using the keyboard. If it is declined, necessary functions and direct contact routes remain available.
Advertising
Advertising storage is optional. Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads are part of the live advertising coverage for this destination. A click identifier can arrive in a URL, but the site does not treat that arrival as consent to store optional information.
The storage record
Cookies and localStorage are different browser storage mechanisms. The consent preference and support token described here use localStorage. The click identifiers are URL parameters, not cookie names. Their appearance in this table does not mean that a cookie with the same name is set. Platform systems process permitted signals under their own policies.
| Name | Who sets it | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
site_consent_v2 | Vexbun | Stores the visitor's optional storage decision so it can be read on a later visit. | 12 months |
| Support chat token | Vexbun | Returns a visitor to a support conversation they started in the browser. | Browser token: until browser storage is cleared. Chat transcripts: 18 months. |
| gclid | Google Ads | Identifies a Google Ads click when the advertising choice permits the related handling. | Controlled by the relevant consent and platform handling |
| msclkid | Microsoft Advertising | Identifies a Microsoft Advertising click when the advertising choice permits the related handling. | Controlled by the relevant consent and platform handling |
| fbclid | Meta Ads | Identifies a Meta Ads click where a campaign runs there, subject to the advertising choice. | Controlled by the relevant consent and platform handling |
The site also keeps the consent choice in the browser under site_consent_v2. Nothing else on this site persists a consent choice.
Paid clicks have named identifiers
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic here today. Google Ads uses gclid on a click. Microsoft Advertising uses msclkid. Meta Ads uses fbclid where a campaign runs there. These identifiers describe the route by which a visitor arrived; they do not turn an inquiry field into a place for personal data.
Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC receives Google Ads consent signals. Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd handles Microsoft Advertising activity. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd handles Meta Ads activity. The platform documents are linked below. The site does not state or imply that a platform has reviewed, approved or verified this destination.
Consent Mode v2 starts closed
Consent Mode v2 holds ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied until the visitor allows storage. When the visitor declines or withdraws consent, the relevant settings are set back to denied at once.
Consent signals do not mean that a denied choice guarantees that no network request can occur. A landing URL can already contain an identifier, and necessary site requests still occur so the page and visitor-requested functions work. Denial means optional storage and the related optional permission are not granted. Microsoft and Meta storage choices follow the visitor's advertising choice too. Google's flags are not treated as a universal consent integration.
Global Privacy Control, including the Sec-GPC header, is honoured as an opt-out without asking again. While that signal is active, optional advertising and analytics storage remains denied. The consent mode settings grant only categories the visitor authorizes; closing the choices panel does not grant permission.
Choose, then change your mind
The banner offers Allow optional storage, Decline optional storage and Manage choices. Use the checkboxes below and select Save selected choices to allow only the categories you select. Allow optional storage permits both categories; Decline optional storage denies both. Manage choices opens a separate panel with the same options. The footer retains a Cookie settings control after a choice has been saved. Select it to reopen the controls and withdraw or change the decision. A valid stored choice may be restored on the next visit; the safe initial state is denied until it is read.
Advertising permission is not bundled with the consent needed to send an inquiry. A visitor can contact Vexbun while optional storage remains denied.
Declining does not close the site
If optional storage is declined, the site keeps necessary functions available. Visitors can read services and legal pages, use the contact form, call +1 (784) 555-7475, email office@vexbun.com, and start a support conversation. The consent record remains so the choice can be respected.
Analytics and advertising storage are not granted after refusal. The relevant Consent Mode v2 signals return to denied. A later choice is available through Cookie settings. Refusal does not delete an inquiry already sent or a support conversation already started; those records follow their stated retention rules.
Inquiries and their email copies are retained for 36 months. Chat transcripts are retained for 18 months; server and access logs for 60 days. The consent choice record is retained for 12 months. These periods concern different records, not a single cookie lifetime.
What happens if I clear browser storage?
Clearing site storage removes the saved preference and support token from that browser. The next visit starts with optional storage denied until a valid choice is available. Without the support token, the browser cannot resume the same conversation automatically.
Clearing the browser does not erase an inquiry or transcript held by Vexbun. Use the data request page or email the studio to ask about those records. A data request is answered within 7 days.
Does an inquiry allow advertising storage?
No. The consent beside an inquiry allows Vexbun to handle the message and respond. Optional advertising and analytics permission is a separate choice. You can decline both and still send a brief.
Platform privacy documents
The organisations named here publish their own explanations of collection and use. Read the Microsoft privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com for Microsoft Advertising. Google information is available at policies.google.com/privacy. Meta information is available at Meta's privacy policy.
The hosting provider serves this site and stores the inquiry database. The mail provider carries the inquiry notification to the operator's inbox. Each receives the data needed for that role. These operational records are separate from optional advertising storage; declining that storage does not prevent a message from reaching Vexbun.
Ask about a specific record
For a question about a specific cookie, storage record, advertising identifier or consent decision, email office@vexbun.com or write to Vexbun at 7 Workshop Way, Werkstatt 2, Austin, Texas 31523, Austin, Texas, United States. You can also call +1 (784) 555-7475. Do not put passwords, payment details, medical information or other sensitive material in the message.
